With the introduction of Ultrabooks by various computer manufacturers, Toshiba announced the Toshiba Satellite Z830. This Ultrabook is the best for those laptop enthusiasts that are looking for a machine that is extremely light and yet stylish. The major features of the Toshiba Satellite Z830 fall in a number of categories that demonstrate the benefits that it offers its users.

The Toshiba Satellite Z830 has a similar appearance to many of the Ultrabooks that are already in the market. It has a width of approximately 16mm and has a weight of 1.1 kg which makes it the lightest among the Ultrabooks announced so far. It also has a backlit keyboard that is spacious as well as durable meaning that it can withstand the constant use that is applied to most Ultrabooks. Furthermore, the Toshiba Satellite Z830 has in built speakers that are located at its front side which is supported by a subwoofer as well.

On performance, the Toshiba Satellite Z830 has an Intel-core i5, RAM of 6GB as well as a 128GB hard drive that contribute immensely to its performance capabilities. It may not be the most powerful of the Ultrabooks in the market when it comes to performance but it is well able to meet the needs of most of its users satisfactorily. Furthermore, it has more USB ports than the other Ultrabooks which are three in number and thereby enhance the connectivity of the Toshiba Satellite Z830. These ports are much more advanced with the inclusion of an Ethernet port as well as 3.0 USB port that is not yet available on other Ultrabooks as well.

When using the Toshiba Satellite Z830, the high definition screen becomes a plus especially when watching movies or viewing pictures. However, the screen lacks a protective coating which makes it ideal for those who want to work outdoors or in an area that is well lit because there will be no reflections produced.

Lastly, the battery life of the Toshiba Satellite Z830 is impressive as it can last up to eight hours which is very good for a machine that is portable. This means that it can be used for a whole day without any need for recharging except in special circumstances where much power has been used.

Leading brand names such as Samsung have not been left behind in the Ultrabook craze and have announced their newest product known as Samsung Series 9. The Samsung Series 9 is the thinnest laptop that has been manufactured under the brand name and measures approximately 12.99mm when it is closed.

The Samsung Series 9 Ultrabook has many outstanding features that give it an edge over other similar products.

First, it is a very portable Ultrabook because of its lightweight which is made possible because of the duralumin enclosure that dominates its design as well as gives it durability. Duralumin is lighter in weight than aluminium which is used to cover majority of the laptops in the market. Apart from the enclosure, the Samsung Series 9 has an LCD screen that is its display, multi touch keypad as well as a backlit keyboard.

Second, using the Samsung Series 9 is an experience in fast processing as it uses a processor known as Intel- corei5 that guarantees power management that is optimized and ensures that most activities done on the Ultrabook have great results. Some of the activities include the playing of 3D games, watching of HD movies, editing of photos or compressing them.

Third, the storage capacity of the Samsung Series 9 is also assures as it has a 128GB drive as part of its internal components. This drive also lowers the consumption of power which results in improved performance that is characterised by less heat and noise production. In addition, the chances of data loss are also reduced because the solid drive has no parts that move.

Fourth, battery life is a feature that is found on the priority list of many people that are seeking to purchase Ultrabooks such as the Samsung Series 9. This Ultrabook has an efficient power performance with battery life that extends to a time period of seven hours. This retention of power is made possible because of the use of a battery made from lithium and polymer.

Fifth, the Samsung Series 9 uses intuitive navigation in performing the various tasks that can be done on the Ultrabook. This type of navigation is made possible through the use of a multi touch click pad which is easy to use, convenient as well as stylish.

Ultrabook models are increasing on a gradual basis and being launched in the market with their various manufacturing companies. The main objective of these Ultrabooks launches is to attract the attention of the people to try them out and eventually make a decision to make a purchase. Companies like LG have launched Ultrabooks such as LG Z430 to be able to penetrate the market and have their products in many households and offices.

The design of the Ultrabook should be one of the factors that attract the buyer towards the LG Z430. However, this is not the case as this particular machine has a design that is simple and minimalist with clean lines. It has a screen that is fourteen inches that is surrounded by a 4.5mm thin bezel which makes it look smaller than it really is. Furthermore, the pixels that are available on the screen are 1366 x 768-pixels and these are lesser than what other Ultrabooks have on their screens.

The LG Z430 has a variety of features that can be shared by other Ultrabooks but most of them are unique to this particular one. It is much heavier than other Ultrabooks because of the extra features that have been added such as HDD as well as SSD which help in the running of the programs on the computer. The weight of the LG Z430 is 1.5 kg plus a chassis of 19.9mm which is a bit thicker than others in the market.

Beyond the extra storage that is offered by LG towards the LGZ430, there are other ports that are found on the Ultrabook to enable the user to connect other devices, even storage ones onto the computer. The types of ports that are found on the body of the LGZ430 include Ethernet port, one USB 3.0, two USB2.0 ports as well as a HDMI out and card reader. Furthermore, it can connect to both wireless and Bluetooth connections.

The performance of the LG Z430 is done through the working of a processor that can either be Intel-core i5 or an Intel –core i7 with different speed times. The processors work better in this Ultrabook because it has extra memory of around 8GB that allows Windows 7 as well as other applications to run smoothly. However, its booting time is much slower and can be waited upon for up to twelve seconds which is longer than its counterparts.

The Lenovo brand is known for its quality products that are often used in many homes as well as offices to perform various tasks that need to be done. Some of the most famous products under the Lenovo brand is the Lenovo x1 which is in the Ultrabook category. This Ultrabook has a very simple design and has one colour on the cover which is usually black. However, when viewed closely the Lenovo X1 has a 27mm width and a weight of 1.8 kg which makes it very lightweight and portable.

The tough exterior of the Lenovo XI acts as a protective cover and also make it easy to grip the Ultrabook when moving it around. It is said that it can survive a long fall because of its cover and can survive even in water due to its water resistant properties as well. The Lenovo X1 keyboard is also one of a kind as it is backlit as well as firmly set and can be used in a dark with no hindrances at all. In addition, the Lenovo X1 has a pointing stick can be used as an alternative to the keyboard or the touchpad as well.

Lenovo X1 has various features that are able to enhance the experience for the user as well as perform the tasks that have been laid out to be done. One its most outstanding features is the absence of passwords while using fingerprints as a form of identification while logging in in. This eliminates the need to remember the passwords that are commonly used and sometimes can be so confusing.

As mentioned earlier, the Lenovo X1 is a very portable Ultrabook that has been enhanced through the introduction of a slot for a SIM card. This built in slot allows the users to be able to connect to the internet through a wireless connection. Furthermore, Lenovo X1 has a storage capacity that amounts to 320 GB to be able to store all the data as well as multimedia files which can be used by an individual who has to move around consistently.

Overall, the performance of Lenovo X1 is hinged on the processor from Intel to be able to keep the applications running and perform a variety of tasks as well.

These changes have been embraced by the major brand names which in turn have seen the manufacture of a variety of Ultrabooks that are available in the market. Lenovo is one of those brand names that have announced the release of an Ultrabook known as Lenovo IdeaPad U300s. This machine is best suited for individuals who are always in the field or work in different locations and thus cannot be able to use a desktop computer at all times.

When it comes to the overall appearance of the Lenovo IdealPad U300s, it is viewed as standard which encompasses a simple style. It also has a 13 inch screen that has a high resolution that is able assures the user of clarity of both picture as well as videos. A matte finish is also part of the screen components so as that there is no reflection when the screen is placed within the path of the rays of the sun. However, if the sole purpose of making a purchase of the Lenovo IdeaPad U300s is to watch HD movies then this is not the ideal Ultrabook to buy. This is because despite the high resolution it has within its screen, it is not enough to be able to view HD movies with as much clarity as required.

As with the common features of most Ultrabooks, the Lenovo IdeaPad U300s has a processor that is Intel-core i5 which is less than the i7 processor s that have been used in even smaller Ultrabooks. The processors have a low voltage and are part of the range of Sandy Bridge that helps in the overall performance of the Ultrabook. Furthermore, the Lenovo IdeaPad U300 has RAM that amounts to 4GB which is also the standard as that which is found in most Ultrabooks. The storage space is 128 GB and is found in the solid drive, but this might need an external disk that will hold some of the data as a backup.

The connectivity abilities of the Lenovo IdeaPad U300s are also limited with the presence of USB ports that are two in number, which also affects its ability to use it for business purposes. On the other hand, the battery life is described as decent and can last up to 5 hours.

The Ultrabook arena is awash with many new products from a variety of companies such as HP who unveiled their version known as HP Spectre. HP Spectre has a design made of glass and has many technical features that set it above the rest. The initial difference is the size of the screen which is 14 inches while the standard Ultrabooks have 13inch screens. Furthermore, the body of the laptop is also made with glass which the manufacturer says is what keeps the Ultrabook durable.

The HP Spectre has many features that make it attractive to buyers especially when it comes to design. The lid of the Ultrabook from HP has a coating of glass that is scratch resistant as well as a radiance display that offers display in HD which will lead to quick responses, as well as fuller colours.

To be able to connect to various memory or storage devices easily, the HP Spectre has a number of ports that are situated on different parts of the Ultrabook. On the body of the Ultrabook which measures 20mm the ports available are HDMI, miniature display port as well as a port for USB 3.0. It is obvious that HP Spectre is not one of the thin Ultrabooks in the market, but it compensates this deficiency by having features that far outweighs what others can offer.

HP Spectre has an SSD of 256GB as well as technology known as Beats Audio that enhances the performance of the booting up and response time of the Ultrabook. This technology allows the in built speakers of the Ultrabook to produce a rich and full sound that is heard through headphones known as Beats by Dre to be able to experience the music in its entirety.

As part of the Ultrabooks family there are some features that are shared among all of these machines including the HP Spectre. This Ultrabook uses an Intel-core i5 processor that operates at a 1.60GHz speed which is not near the fastest among those that are in the market. It also has preinstalled applications such as Adobe and Photoshop that make it easier to do some editing as soon as the machine is set up. Lastly, the extended life of a HP Spectre battery is estimated to be around nine hours meaning that it is a good option for those not working near a power source or those who are travelling.

Dell has been manufacturing slimline laptops for many years now and is one of the names that are synonymous with quality computer products. However, this year the company decided to move out of their usual products and enter into the Ultrabook market with the release of the Dell XPS 13. This Ultrabook has a compact design that is the first to catch the eye of anyone who sees it. The design which incorporates a 13 inch screen, weight of 1.4 kg and a 12 inch chassis that measures 18mm it still looks much smaller than the other similar Ultrabooks in the market.

The overall appearance of the Dell XPS 13 apart from its design comprises of an aluminium cover that is attractive. Under the hood of the Ultrabook reveals the craftsmanship that has been used to make it unique by the inclusion of a black rubberised feel that does not have any stickers as well as markings. Furthermore, the keyboard is backlit which also reveals the keys which are comfortable to use because of their positioning.

An outstanding feature that is part of the overall appearance of the Dell XPS 13 is the engineering of the 13 inch screen that has no apparent edge thus making it look like it is sitting on the base of the Ultrabook. The Dell XPS 13 screen is made from tough Gorilla glass and also has a resolution that enables the user to watch movies that are of high definition.

Performance wise the Dell XPS 13 is as impressive as its outward appearance because of the various features that it has in terms of sustaining its working process. The Intel-core i7 processor that performs the various functions of the Ultrabook is quad core meaning that it does more work than the other types of Ultrabooks. Some of the processes that are made easier through the use of the processor include the multitasking between web pages as well as programs while they respond at a fast rate.

Lastly, the battery life of the Dell XPS 13 is one of the features that are always considered because of its portability nature. It has a six cell battery that is built into the body the Ultrabook but is not accessible by people who are not technicians. Nevertheless, it is believed to last for up to eight hour without the need for recharge as long it was fully charged before use.
